Days before Alex + Trey’s wedding day, the forecast was predicting a rainy, cloudy day for Saturday. Every morning, I woke up and checked the forecast. Preparing for the rain, I went ahead and ordered more clear umbrellas just so we would be prepared. Saturday morning, I woke up and the sun was BEAMING outside my airb&b window. The prettiest light reflecting off of the surfaces because of the rain from the night before. I knew their day would be perfect. Little did I know, just how perfect it would be. They had rented the cutest house for Alex and her girls to get ready. The ceremony space was to die for. Oak trees intertwined eachother and were wrapped with the most romantic strings of lights. After the ceremony, we whisked Alex + Trey for a few more portraits before they joined their guests underneath a tent beside the marsh. After a dinner of shrimp + grits, honey bourbon fried chicken, crab cakes and all sorts of other food, Alex, Trey and their friends and family threw down! One of the most entertaining receptions I’ve ever photographed. Their day was magical and we were so honored to have been apart of it! Cheers to the Portiers!
