FEATURED

March 1, 2018

Not too long ago, I left a wedding that I had worked with Rachel of Hair by Rachel Quick and Darby of Beauty by Darby. It was one of my favorite wedding days. I’ve known these girls for a longggg time! We’re from the same tiny town so everyone pretty much knows everyone. I thought it was so neat how three people from Adel, GA ended up in the booming wedding industry. I shot them a facebook message with “so we should totally do a styled shoot together!” Darby replied “I agree!!” and from there we went into who would be our model? Should they be married? Engaged? Or complete strangers? Rachel messaged back that she was in and then the ball got rolling.

I knew of Carolina from social media only. We had chitchatted back and forth a few times but had never actually met. We had tried to get together for pictures before but the timing didn’t work out. I told her we would make it happen! Fast forward, when we got to talking about needing a model, I knew she would be PERFECT.

We wanted our shoot to be different and unique. Full of color and antiques. Rachel’s Mama owns  the cutest little antique store in Adel called Bessie Jane Design. She loaned so many props for us to use! The bicycles, the chair, suitcases, wine bottles and so many little knick knacks.

Winsome Grove was kind enough to allow us to use their BRAND NEW Bridal Cottage to get ready in. I knew it would be amazing but I didn’t know it would be THIS amazing. It’s all neutral colored (which photographers love!), tons of windows that let in the best light and it’s quaint and charming and perfect for those mimosa and bridal party shots.

Southern Occasions Florist agreed to donate florals for us to use! This is where it gets fun. I asked if she could make me a floral lei for a baby donkey that was originally supposed to be apart of the shoot! I sent her some screenshots and she said she would make it happen!

Well you will see down below that instead of a donkey, we ended up with baby goats.

THEY WERE THE CUTEST THINGS EVER.

I have never laughed so hard, ran so fast or been out of breath as much as I was when Elseigh let that baby goat out and she ran from all of us. Hot mess.

I cannot thank Darby, Rachel, Carolina, Bessie Jane Design, Winsome Grove and Southern Occasion Florists enough for helping this turn out the way it did! We were all so giddy and beside ourselves when it actually all came together (and we caught the baby goat!)
